S.Enkhbat Presents Letter of Credence to King of Saudi Arabia, Abdullah Bin
Abdulaziz Al Saud

(infomongolia.com) A non-resident Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary
of Mongolia to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Mr. Sodnom ENKHBAT has presented a
Letter of Credence to the King of Saudi Arabia, Custodian of the Two Holy
Mosques, Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud on August 29, 2014.
In April 2014,
Ambassador S.Enkhbat had handed over a copy of paper of the credentials to the
Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Abdulaziz
bin Abdullah bin Abdulaziz to represent Mongolia in the country.
During the
credential handing ceremony, newly accredited Ambassador S.Enkhbat conveyed
greetings of Mongolian President Ts.Elbegdorj to the King of Saudi Arabia Mr.
Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.
Newly
accredited envoy S.Enkhbat is the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary
of Mongolia with residency in the State of Kuwait since April 2013, he also
represents Mongolia to the State of Qatar since April 2013 and to the Kingdom
of Saudi Arabia since April 2014.
Mongolia and
the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia have established the diplomatic relations on
February 12, 2007.

“Responsibility,
Monitoring and Implementation” Online Meeting Runs

Ulaanbaatar,
September 1 (MONTSAME) The Prime Minister N.Altankhuyag has named the works
delaying and strictly obliged all related official to maximize their
responsibilities.
It happened at
the above-named online monthly meeting on last Friday. The PM sounded some
interesting statistics, saying, for example, that at all seven meeting, run
this year, present were only State Secretaries of the Ministries of Health, of
Construction and Urban Development, and of Industry and Agriculture. Vice
Ministers of Justice and of Road and Construction missed the meeting six times;
the Vice Ministers of Environment and Green Development and of Construction and
Urban Development--four times; State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign
Affairs--five times; State Secretary of the Defense Ministry--four times; and
State Secretary of the Economic Development--three times, he noted. "The
monthly meeting provides the participants with the latest information about a
course of vital works and with directions correlating works of the state
bodies, so the cabinet members must make related officials taker part in
the meeting," the PM stressed.
He went on that
considered by the cabinet reports works, aimed at activating the national
economy, will be delivered to MPs and the party factions. The cabinet is
focusing on a draft budget, he added. Lists of agendas regarding works on the
visit of China’s President and the forthcoming visit of the Russian President
must be promptly sent to the cabinet for a discussion, he said.
The
construction of roads that will connect some aimags' centers to the UB city are
in delay. An executor of the road from Dornod aimag has not been selected yet
after a previous executor had cancelled a contract, the Premier stressed.
Roads to
Omnogobi and Sukhbaatar aimags are expected to complete by this
September/October, but the Dornod's road cannot be finished within this year,
the Ministry of Road and Construction said.
The Ministry of
Energy reported that annexes of the 4th thermal power station will be put into
use by this November 15, and that a first furnace of the “Amgalan” power
station of 300MWT will come into use this November.
The Premier
criticized that the Ministry of Economic Development and the Development Bank
of Mongolia are delaying some works. “Some 150 billion Togrog out of 275
billion for the 888 projects are still in commercial banks, you must
impose responsibilities upon these banks, they are putting obstacles to the
projects on import substitution industry," he underlined.
Then he
criticized a poor implementation of a programme on forests cleaning and ordered
the Ministry of Environment and Green Development to quickly present a course
of this programme.
Pencho
Ivankin Appointed as Honorary Consul of Mongolia to Blagoevgrad, Bulgaria

Honorary Consulate of Mongolia to Blagoevgrad city of Bulgaria was held in
Sofia.
Th e Honorary
Consul of Mongolia to Blagoevgrad is appointed as Mr. Pencho Ivankin, General
Manager of Balkan Consult Commerce Co.
At the
ceremony, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Mongolia to the
Republic of Bulgaria Mr. Lkhamsuren DUGERJAV and Director of Asia, Australia
and Oceania Directorate at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bulgaria Mr.
Angel Orbetsov have delivered opening remarks and consular patent and stamp
were conferred to newly promoted Honorary Consul Pencho Ivankin.

Ivankin is the first Honorary Consul to represent Mongolia in Blagoevgrad and
during the event he noted to protect rights and privileges of Mongolian
nationals residing in this country, moreover, to develop Mongolia-Bulgaria
relations at all potential levels and to contribute his role promoting
Mongolia.

Ambassador
of Mongolia to Principality of Liechtenstein Accredited by Hereditary Prince

(infomongolia.com) On August 29, 2014, Ambassador Extraordinary and
Plenipotentiary of Mongolia to the Principality of Liechtenstein, Mr. Vaanchig
PUREVDORJ has presented a Letter of Credence to the Hereditary Prince of
Liechtenstein Alois Philipp Maria.
During the
credential handing ceremony, newly accredited Ambassador V.Purevdorj extended
greetings of Mongolian President Ts.Elbegdorj and pledged to develop Mongolia-
Liechtenstein relations at all potential spheres.
Ambassador
Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary V.Purevdorj has been representing Mongolia to
the Swiss Confederation since July 2014 with residency in Geneva and serves as
the Permanent Representative of Mongolia to the UN Office and other
international organizations in Geneva since December 2013.
Mongolia and
the Principality of Liechtenstein have established the diplomatic relations on
March 18, 1998.

Turkish
Government Grants Scholarships

Ulaanbaatar,
September 1 (MONTSAME) The Government of Turkey have given 45 scholarships to
Mongolians to study in Turkish universities starting from 2014-2015 academic
year onwards.
An
undergraduates programme will involve 28 students, master degree's--14, and
doctorate's--three. These students will be provided with monthly stipends,
dormitory, free health service and social insurance. The scholarships cover five
years, including one year of Turkish language course.
The students
with government scholarships study in universities of own choice, in Istanbul,
Ankara and Izmir cities. Internships are allowed in every field of study.
Currently, 900
Mongolian students are studying in this country, 350 of them have the
government scholarships. Every year, students from 170 countries apply for the
scholarship programme, a selection is conducted by the Authority for
Turkish Nationals Overseas and Brother Countries. The scholarship website
provides applications, all dates and deadlines are announced through the
Embassies of Turkey. Mongolian students granted the government scholarships
major in economics, engineering, politics, medical sciences, social sciences,
Turkish studies, literature, banking and finance, and others.
Moreover, the
Turkish Armed forces have given 11 scholarships to students of our University
of Defense, the Police Academy of Turkey also grants scholarships every year.
Mongol
Children's International Festival V will be held

(news.mn) The Mongol Children's International Festival V will be held in
Hohhot, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, from September 2-5th.
Teenage
athletes from Mongolia, Buryatia, and Inner Mongolia will compete in eight
sports.
Mongolia has
sent a team of 165, including athletes, coaches and officials, to the Mongol
Children's International Festival.
Mongolian
teenage basketball player B.Avirmed from Uvs aimag has been appointed flag
bearer of Mongolia at the festival. B.Avirmed was ranked 5th at the World
Youth Basketball Championships and 9th at the 2014 Continental Cup
tournament. He was also a national youth team player in the State Youth
Basketball Championships.
Good
start and ending at WJC

(news.mn) Mongolian judokas performed well at the 2014 World Judo Championships
held at Tractor Ice Arena in Chelyabinsk, Russia, from August 24th-31st.
A total of 639
judokas from 110 countries featured strong competition at the 2014 WJC. Some
West African athletes withdrew from the WJC as the results of discrimination
they faced due to the spread of the ebola virus in West Africa.
The Mongolian
national men's and women's teams of each 9 successfully participated in the
2014 WJC. On the first day of the tournament, Mongolian judoka G.Boldbaatar
(men's 60 kg) seized the gold medal and national judo team was ranked
6th among the teams from 110 countries. D.Sumiya ranked 5th in the
women's 57 kg event on the final day. The Mongolian national women's team
claimed the silver medal, leaving Kazakhstan, Cuba and Poland behind. In
the final round, the women's judo team competed against France for the gold but
lost with 2:3.
The Mongolian
team is one of the few teams going home with a gold medal. The 2014 WJC host
country's Russian team was ranked 11th, with two silver and six bronze wins.
The 2015 WJC
will be held in Astana, Kazakhstan.
Mongolia
Finishes 2014 World Judo Championships with 1 Gold and 1 Silver Medals Standing
at 5th Place

(infomongolia.com) On Sunday, August 31, the 2014 World Judo Championships
successfully ended with Team competitions in Chelyabinsk, Russia, where the
best 16 teams in both Men's and Women's categories have competed for
championship title representing with its 5 judokas each team.
Mongolian Men’s
Team finished the competition in their first round defeating to the Team of
Japan by 0:5, who became the winner of Men’s Team Tournament, but our Women’s
Team showed brilliant results reaching the final.
In the Gold
medal contest, Mongolian Women’s Team faced against the Team of France, but
lost to French team by 2:3 in the last decisive match of Women’s 78 kg.
The Bronze
medals were taken by Japan and Germany.
Consequently,
Mongolian National Team finishes the 2014 World Judo Championships with one
Gold by G.Boldbaatar (Men’s 60 kg), one Silver medal by Women’s Team and fifth
place by D.Sumiya (Women’s 57 kg) and stood at the Fifth Place of Medal
Summary.
