President Tsakhiagiin Elbegdorj of Mongolia Meets with Wang Yi

On June 25, 2014, President Tsakhiagiin Elbegdorj of Mongolia met with Foreign Minister Wang Yi at the Government Palace in Ulan Bator.

Tsakhiagiin Elbegdorj said that when he attended the Shanghai Summit of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence-Building Measures in Asia not long ago, he had an in-depth exchange of views with President Xi Jinping on developing the Mongolia-China relations and reached broad consensus. Now the Mongolia-China relations stand in the best period in history and the cooperation in all fields has achieved remarkable progress, with which Mongolia is satisfied. The concept of “amity, sincerity, mutual benefit and inclusiveness” proposed by the Chinese leaders has created favorable conditions for promoting the Mongolia-China relations and regional cooperation. Mongolia reaffirmed its adherence to the one-China principle, and is willing to work with China to promote exchanges and cooperation in all fields, opening up a new chapter of bilateral relations.

Wang Yi said that President Xi Jinping and Your Excellency both attach great importance to and personally promote the development of the China-Mongolia relations, injecting huge vitality to the good-neighborly friendship and mutually-beneficial cooperation between the two countries. China always highly values the China-Mongolia relations and puts the development of relations with Mongolia at an important place in its neighborhood diplomacy. Both sides agreed on many occasions to respect each other’s sovereignty, independence and territorial integrity, and it is believed that Mongolia understands and supports China’s efforts in this regard. China will follow the good-neighborhood diplomatic concept of “amity, sincerity, mutual benefit and inclusiveness” in its cooperation with Mongolia in all fields, continue strengthening high-level exchanges, achieve greater progress in bilateral economic and trade cooperation through connectivity and cooperation on major projects, promote people-to-people and cultural exchanges in all fields and at all levels, strengthen communication and coordination in international and regional affairs, and make full use of the favorable conditions of “good timing, geographical convenience and harmonious human relations”, so as to promote the China-Mongolia relations to a new era of development.
