President to build East Asian cooperation

Today President Ts.Elbegdorj departed to conduct state visits in East Asian countries including Myanmar, Vietnam and Singapore between November 18th and 29th, 2013. President Elbegdorj, who has been at the International Economic Forum in Hong Kong, will deliver speeches on the current development of Mongolian business and economy.

President Elbegdorj will have individual meetings for official talks with the President of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, Thein Sein, the President of the Socialist Republic Vietnam, Truong Tan Sang and the President of Singapore, Tony Tan Keng Yam, and will attend other official events during the visits.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia, L.Bold, other government officials and a large group of business and private sector representatives will accompany the President for the official state visits.

President Elbegdorj will attend business meetings during the visits to the Socialist Republic Vietnam and Singapore and deliver lectures at famous universities and make speech at the “World 2014” conference in Singapore.

This first state level visit to Myanmar since Mongolia and Myanmar established diplomatic relations in 1956 is expected to bring a new level to bilateral relations and cooperation in all fields between the two countries.
