Open debate on Oyu Tolgoi will be aired tonight
The open debate on Oyu Tolgoi related issues between MP S.Ganbaatar and Deputy Speaker S.Bayartsogt was announced on November 18th. However the debate was postponed due to the Local Administrative Election on the order of Speaker Z.Enkhbold, until today. The Secretariat of parliament postponed the debate preventing any politician from using Oyu Tolgoi related issues to their political advantage in the Local Administrative Election.
The open debate on the Oyu Tolgoi Investment Agreement will be on air on the MNBTV channel at 09.25 pm. The purpose of the debate is for two parliamentarians to give information about Oyu Tolgoi related issues to civilians in order to clear any doubts about this controversial agreement among Mongolians. Twenty-five MPs have submitted a petition to the Prime Minister to make changes to the Oyu Tolgoi Investment Agreement.
