Speaker Ordered to Fine MPs

The Standing Committee on Justice raised an unplanned issue during today`s meeting. The issue was about the opposition party protesters blocking the State Palace entrances last week. Some of the MPs complained that guards in State Palace did not take the necessary steps to protect MPs and protesters were physically holding MPs and preventing them from entering the State Palace. MPs from the opposition party in parliament participated in a sit-in strike in front of parliament Hall and they are being blamed for violating law of the State Palace. Z.Enkhbold, the Speaker of parliament ordered to impose fines to those MPs who participated in the sit-strike, to charge N.Lhkagvasuren, the Chief of Security Office in State Palace and Major N.Togtokhnyam, legal advisor of State Special Security Service, for lack of responses during the sit in strike.
