Iran FM meets Benin, Ghana, Mongolia counterparts

(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi held separate meetings Tuesday with his Beninese, Ghanaian and Mongolian counterparts on the sidelines of the ongoing NAM ministerial meeting.

The three foreign ministers appreciated Iran for successfully holding the 16th Non-Aligned Movement Summit of Leaders.

The ministers said the Tehran NAM meeting will be a proper opportunity for reviewing the important international and regional issues.

They called for fostering relations with the Islamic Republic of Iran in various fields.

Salehi said Iran attaches great importance to develop cooperation with the African countries including Benin.

The Iranian foreign minister termed the NAM meeting in Tehran as run-up for enhanced cooperation of the member states in the international and regional arenas.
