SPEAKER RECEIVES NAT'L AUDIT OFFICE LEADERS

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia /MONTSAME/ The Parliament Speaker Z.Enkhbold received on Wednesday authorities of the National Audit Office (NAO).

A head of the NAO and Auditor-General of Mongolia Ch.Radnaa and accompanying him officials congratuled Mr Enkhbold on becoming the Speaker, wished him success and expressed a confidence that the socio-economic targeted goals will be fulfilled and the problems will be tackled during the office term of the new Speaker.

Then he spoke about present and future of the NAO. He noted that the NAO' load and responsibility raised both in the first half of this year due to amending laws on budget, on election and on state audit, and that a longer time should have been given to auditors to inspect election programmes of political parties and coalitions who competed in parliamentary election.

The 2013 basic guidelines reflect a capital for establishing parliament-and audit state training center, "in which not only Great Khural and its structures but also international organizations can run various seminars and trainings," he said.

In turn, the Speaker said the NAO should be informing him about obstacles in controlling realization of laws. "It is important not to just complain that laws are not realized but to update them," he added.

Mr Enkhbold suggested studying a work and experience of auditors at the U.S. Congress, checking whether the Finance Ministry transferred into the online form its purchase system, controlling fiscal and investments' flow to localities, and cooperating with local private audit companies.
