LIST APPROVED OF CANDIDATES FROM DEMOCRATIC PARTY

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia /MONTSAME/ The Democratic Party (DP) has approved a list of candidates to run in the parliamentary elections through the proportional system. An approval was made after a secret voting at 38th meeting of the party's National Consultative Committee on May 24.

Last Friday, the DP held its ceremonial session to inaugurate the “Mongolian person” program for election and to announce names of the 76 candidates. This ceremony was opened by D.Erdenebat, the DP secretary-general, with participation of about 8,000 representatives from all aimags and nine districts of the city. He highlighted that 28 candidates are the party's authorities and others are skillful politicians. He added that 16 candidates of them are women.

The list comprises N.Altankhuyag MP /chairman of the DP/, Z.Enkhbold MP, Kh.Temuujin MP, Ch.Saikhanbileg MP, D.Erdenebat, Sh.Tuvdendorj, R.Burmaa, Ts.Bayarsaikhan MP, R.Gonchigdorj MP, M.Batchimeg, B.Medree, L.Gansukh, B.Urgamaltsetseg, A.Gansukh, G.Baigalmaa, P.Gankhuyag, Kh.Batyrbek, R.Erdeneburen, Z.Narantuya, J.Batbold, S.Suvdaa, L.Purevsuren, Ts.Enkhtuya, B.Battuvshin, D.Uuriintuya, B.Batbileg, Ts.Oyundari and B.Ariunbold.

Others will run in the election through the majority system in the constituencies divided into all aimags and the city's districts.
