Watters off to Mongolia

DESPITE the negative hype surrounding the crowning of the Miss World Fiji contestant, director and organiser of the pageant, Andhy Blake said preparations for young Torika Watters would go as planned.

"I'm so disappointed with all the negative comments we've had on our Facebook page and blog sites. If people have problems with the choice made why don't they take it up with me instead of posting negative comments that just do not help at all." He said age was not an issue as another Miss World contestant was also 16 years old.

"This is not like the Hibiscus where we have young ladies who are already out there, the Miss World pageant contestants are younger, some still in school who have encountered the issues they would advocate on."

The director said there was no hidden agenda and he "did not steal anyone's money" as purported by comments posted on their Facebook page.
