TRIPARTITE PROJECT REVIEW MEETING HELD

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia /MONTSAME/ Tripartite Project Review meeting of the “Strengthening the Disaster Mitigation and Management System in Mongolia” project ran on Thursday in the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA).

This meeting has been co-organized by the governments of Mongolia and Luxembourg and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP).

Main objectives of the meeting are to discuss the results of the recently completed “Strengthening the Disaster Mitigation and Management System in Mongolia” Project, share views on achievements of the project, discuss the concept of its next phase.

Opening remarks were given by Ts.Amgalanbayar, a head of the NEMA and National Project Director, then the UN Resident Coordinator and UNDP Resident Representative to Mongolia Ms. Sezin Sinanoglu delivered a speech.

In accordance with the meeting's schedule, a presentation on the results and achievements of the project's 3rd phase was introduced by Mr. Sh.Boldbaatar, a National Project Manager. Programme Officer of UNDP CO in Mongolia Ms. P.Batima gave a report on a concept of UNDP Mongolia's Disaster Risk Management Programme in 2012-2016.
