AIMAGS NEED TO DEVELOP CO-OPERATIVES
Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia /MONTSAME/ The meeting on Wednesday decided to run a campaign of developing co-operatives in localities by backing an initiative of citizens and the National Union of Co-operatives (NUC).
Main objectives of the campaign are to attract rural businessmen to boosting of the co-operatives and to ensure a preparation for creating an economic exchange system of agricultural products and raw materials.
The money necessary for establishing small-sized co-operatives in localities will be placed in annual state and local budgets intensifying thus the preparation for the campaign and creating the raw material exchanges. The campaign will also be involved in projects and programmes supported with foreign loans and assistance.
Obligations have been given to aimags' governors to approve their plans on the co-operative campaign. The NUC and other related co-operative societies will run some actions by contracts.
