PARLIAMENTARY DELEGATION VISITS GERMANY

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia /MONTSAME/ A head of the Mongolia-Germany group at the State Great Khural D.Terbishdagva has exchanged views with Mrs. Petra Pau, a vice president of the Bundestag on activating the inter-parliamentary relations.


A delegation led by him visited the Federal Republic of Germany on December 4-8 at invitation of the Bundestag.

The sides discussed the Mongolia-Germany relations and underlined that the ties of legislative bodies play a main role in the bilateral cooperation.

Comprising D.Ochirbat, a head of the Standing committee on social policy, education, culture and science, and R.Rash, Ts.Sedvanchig and J.Sukhbaatar MPs, the delegation has been received by Mrs. Dagmar Enkelmann, a Budestag member and head of the Germany-Central Asia group. The sides have spoken about forwarding the Mongolia-Germany relations and enriching the cooperation with economic contents.
The two sides also have discussed issues of Germany's parliamentary law and elections. A report has been given by the German side on implementation of the Bundestag election and its advantage.

The Mongolians have been received by authorities of the Federal Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology and the Federal Environment Ministry to consider a present situation of the bilateral ties and prospect. Moreover, officials of the German Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Friedrich Ebert Foundation and the Konrad Adenauer Foundation have given reports to the Mongolians on the activities they run in Mongolia.

The delegation has got acquainted with activities of the ""Lausitzer und Mitteldeutsche Bergbau" mining company.
