Mongolian Skier To Participate in Winter Youth Olympics

There are 51 days left until the Winter Youth Olympic Games organized by the International Olympic Committee (IOC) are to be held. On November 22 the Mongolian skier who qualified was handed a certificate to take part at the Winter Youth Olympics in Innsbruck, Austria.

Vice Master of Sport D.Usukhbayar has been skiing for five years and is an 11th grade student at the secondary school in Bornuur sum, Tuv aimag. He is the two time winner from Mongolia and received his berth to the Winter Youth Olympic Games in 2010 during the Youth World Championship in Estonia.

His trainer is Sports Master D.Ichinkhorloo, a teacher of physical education at the secondary school of Bornuur sum who also works as a trainer of the top youth team from Tuv aimag. He said, “The last four years children from Tuv aimag have been successfully participating in skiing. D.Usukhbayar and I have few days to come up at Olympic ground. Even there isn`t enough snow in Bornuur on November 23 we started our intensive training in Khandgait”.

The President of the Mongolian National Olympic Committee D.Zagdsuren, Head of Mongolia's State Committee of Physical Culture and Sports Ch.Naranbaatar and the General Secretary of Mongolian Ski Federation congratulated and wished D.Usukhbayar and his trainer good luck.
