NAT'L PROGRAM AGAINST CHILD LABOR APPROVED

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia /MONTSAME/ A national program on abolishing the worst forms of child labor was approved by the cabinet at a meeting held on Wednesday.

To realize it, trhe cabinet has obliged related Ministers, governors of aimags and Mayor of UB city to place capital in budgetary packages and general managers' budgets. A report on the realization will be given on the World Day Against Child Labor which is marked on June 12 every year.

According to statistics of 2006-2007 years, over 71 thousand children aged 5-17 were working in Mongolia, 89 per cent in the agricultural sector.
