EXHIBITION ABOUT MONGOLIA RUNS IN THAILAND

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia /MONTSAME/ An exhibition dedicated to the 50th anniversary of Mongolia's joining the UN took place on October 24 in Thailand. Opened in the Bangkok-based Economic and Social commission for Asia Pacific /ESCAP/, the action has attracted the ESCAP executive secretary Mrs. Noeleen Heyzer and Her Royal Highness Princess of Thailand Maha Chakri Sirindhorn. The exhibition presents photos and documents that show the UN-Mongolia ties and history, for example, a letter of Kh.Choibalsan, Minister of Foreign affairs and PM of People's Republic of Mongolia, sent to the UN in 1946 with a request to accept Mongolia, photos of joining as the 101st member of the UN, of hoisting the state flag at the UN's office, pictures of the General secretaries of UN to Mongolia, of how the UN specialized organizations help Mongolia and Mongolian government and UN cooperate and so on. The exhibition has been organized by the Embassy of Mongolia to Thailand. It will be working till October 27.
