Businessmen of Mongolia and South Korea meet in Ulaanbaatar

Some 40 Korean and 100 Mongolian companies are attending a business forum in Ulaanbaatar today. It has been jointly organized by the Foreign Investment and Foreign Trade Agency, the South Korean Embassy to Mongolia, the Mail Kongje media group of South Korea, and the Mongolian National Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The forum aims to develop and widen areas of bilateral cooperation in trade and business.

Among the Korean participants are the Korean Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Institute of International Economic Policy Research, the Coal Corporation, Lotte Corp, Samsung Engineering, the National Assembly, the Deson Group, the Korea Exim Bank, the Energy Corp, Taihan, the SC Chale Bank, KDB, SuSong Engineering and Seoul Marin.

Local companies include the MCS Group, the Mongolian Gold Group, APU, NIK, the Mobicom Group, Tavantolgoi LLC, the Just Group, Monnis International, Nomin Holding, Shunkhlai, the Tavan Bogd Group, the Chinggis Industrial Group, the Trade and Development Bank, Tuushin, and MIAT.

Participants have been discussing the future of Mongolian economic development, investment in its mineral resources, and the most profitable areas and means of investment and cooperation.
