CLEAN THE TUUL RIVER IN MONGOLIA

A “Public working day” is to run this Saturday. Some five thousand people--officials from the UB city administration and the unemployed from all districts--will clean the river Tuul and its surroundings, and plant trees in national garden.

It is the start of this campaign that was recently initiated under “Together for development” slogan and approved by the Government to be organized every first Saturday of May every year in Mongolia.

A Mayor of Ulaanbaatar issued an ordinance to mark this day, has approved a working group, and has obliged authorities of the districts and of related departments to run related works such as repairing cultural places, rehabilitating environment, improving the city.
