Chinese military delegation attends 90th anniversary of Mongolian Armed Forces

A Chinese military delegation led by Huang Hanbiao, vice commander of the Beijing Millitary Command of the Chinese People's Liberation Army, on Thursday attended celebrations for the 90th anniversary of the Mongolian Armed Forces.

The celebration convention was held at the Central Palace of Culture in Ulan Bator. Mongolian President Elbegdorj Tsakhia, Vice President of the State Great Hural N. Enkhbold, the Defense Minister L. Bold, as well as military delegations from China, the United States and other countries attended the convention.

Elbegdorj reviewed the 90-year history of Mongolian Armed Forces, stressing that under the new period the Mongolian military should become an important force in the development of the country and contribute to the national security continuously.

The Mongolian defense minister and the general chief of staff of the Mongolian Armed Forces met with Huang on Wednesday. The two sides exchanged views on bilateral military relations.

Huang said China is willing to make joint efforts with Mongolia to strengthen the exchanges and cooperations in the military and other domains and push forward the partnership of good neighborhood and mutual trust continuously.

The Chinese military delegation arrived in Mongolia on Wednesday, and will conclude its visit after attending a series of celebrations of Mongolian Armed Forces.

The Mongolian Armed Forces were established on March 18, 1921.
