About new airport's construction

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, /MONTSAME/ The Japanese graphic adviser "Azusa Sekkei" and "Oriental Consultants” jointly partnership company have completed a graphic design for the project on erecting an airport in Khoshigtiin khondii, Sergelen soum, Tov aimag.


Experts are analysing the design in order to draw a professional conclusion of the airport equipment and structure's meeting the Mongolian standards and on accepting new technologies.

As expected, the new airport will have a hall for one million 500 thousand passengers, a car park for 825 vehicles, 3,600-meter long fields for two landing and taking-off air buses, and will serve 1,100 passengers an hour.

The project has been funded at 28 billion 807 million yen soft loan from the JICA. From the year 2018, Mongolia will start paying a 0,2-percent interest a year for 30 years.

The airport is supposed to be completed in 2012-2015.
