U.S ambassador visits Dornogobi

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, /MONTSAME/ The ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of the USA to Mongolia Jonathan Addleton has visited Dornogobi aimag. There, Mr. Addleton held meeting with local officials to discuss the region's economic development opportunities and organizations supported directly by U.S. government, including MCC and the U.S. Department of Agriculture.

The ambassador has addressed 300 students and civil servants at the Saran Khokhoo Theater in the aimag's center Sainshand. Following the speech, he has talked with leaders of a local student organization, the local museum director, and several journalists. Finally, he has visited the Museum of Danzanravjaa, past recipient of a grant from the U.S. Ambassador's Fund for Cultural Preservation.

The visit provided the opportunity to examine several facets of the Mongolia-USA bilateral relationship, from trade to cultural preservation to development assistance.

  1. This is a good move to improve relationship of USA-Mongolia and I believe this visit surely help Mongolia improve in different fields. I am not aware of the Agenda of this meeting. I want you to put some more details on your blog.
