Cabinet discusses official visit of Premier

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, /MONTSAME/ The cabinet discussed Wednesday outcome of the official visit of the Prime Minister S.Batbold paid December 13-16, 2010 to the Russian Federation (RF). The Ministers have decided to submit it to the National Security Council, and then approved a 32-clause plan of measures to be taken in a scope of the visit.

Considering that targeted and non-targeted matters have been successfully tackled within the official visit, the cabinet has ordered N.Altankhuyag, the First Deputy Premier and head of the Mongolian side of the Mongolia-Russia inter-governmental commission, as well as G.Zandanshatar, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, to control the realization of the plan. A Deputy Premier and head of the Mongolian side of the Mongolia-China inter-governmental commission M.Enkhbold has been obliged to pay a special attention to strengthening the relations with China and to realize the issues which are agreed between the sides. The two heads of the Mongolian sides have been tasked with discussing their works every quarter and introducing the government to them.

In frames of his official visit to Russia, the Premier S.Batbold has held individual meeting and expanded negotiations with V.Putin. He has met with B.V.Gryzlov, the Speaker of Russia's State Duma, with S.M.Mironov, the Chairman of the Council of Federation of the Federal Assembly of RF, also with authorities of some ministries and organizations.

As a result of the visit, a "great debt" matter has been tackled. The sides have also agreed to establish an agreement on a discounted tariff for using railways through Russian territories in order to export products.
The sides have o'keyed setting up of a working group in charge of establishing a free trade agreement for supplying meat, meat products and light industrial products from Mongolia to Russia. The Russian side has decided to render a financial aid of RUB 375 million to make Mongolian livestock healthy.

The countries have agreed to increase financial benefits of the "Erdenet" Mining Corporation, the "Mongolrostsvetmet" and "UB Railways" joint stock ventures, and then signed an agreement on creating a "Dornod Uranium" joint company.

In accordance with a bilateral agreement, the sides will co-organize their cultural days at least one time three years, will train Mongolian students in Russian universities and institutes in necessary professions such as engineering and techniques, and will widen the cooperation in renovating military techniques of Mongolia's Armed Forces and in preparing military trained staffers.

During the visit, S.Batbold visited the Moscow State Institute of International Relations (MSIIR), met with Mongolians who are living, working or studying in Russia,and attended a Mongolia-Russia business meeting.

The government considers that the Premier's official visit has realized its key purposes to forward the good neighborhood, traditional and friendly relations in accordance with the principles of strategic partnership, to share opinions on present situation in the Mongolia-Russia relations and cooperation, to accelerate implementation of specific matters of the collaboration, to widen the cooperation in the political, trade, economic and humanitarian sectors, and to enrich the relations with new contents.
