State leaders receive diplomats

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, /MONTSAME/ The representation of Mongolia's powers--President Ts.Elbegdorj, the Speaker D.Demberel and the Prime Minister S.Batbold--received Tuesday the heads of diplomatic missions and international organization in Mongolia.

The President has stated that the agreement on partnership and cooperation inked between Mongolia and the European Union (EU) made steps to bring the Mongolia-EU relations into a newer level, widen the cooperation, introduce the EU's standards in Mongolia. He has mentioned that the government's regular meeting run this August in Gobi desert in Omnogobi aimag's Bayandalai soum addressed the world community with a message, "which will positive results in drawing Mongolia and other countries' attention to the global climate change."

In response, the Ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of the Federal Republic of Germany to Mongolia and a doyen of the diplomatic corps H.E. Pius Fischer has thanked the powers for the audience and has emphasized that the heads of the diplomatic missions to Mongolia, especially business representatives, appreciate the government's initiative to announce the year of innovation of business environment in 2010.

Mr. Fischer has wished the President and the government successes in protecting environment and in creating a legal environment for investing the mining sector.

Mentioning that the economics of Mongolia reached 8 per cent this year, Mr. Fischer has said Mongolia successfully implemented the Stand-by program of the International Monetary Fund (IFM), and gained big achievements in mineral extraction and in agricultural sphere. He has pointed out that Mongolian Premier's visit to Russia and the agreement on Mongolia-EU partnership and cooperation are good example of Mongolia's active foreign policy. "Mongolia is one of the highly respected countries within the international community," he added.
