Nat'l olympic committee organizes seminar

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, /MONTSAME/ Mongolia's National Olympic Committee (MonNOC) has organized a seminar for heads of Olympic councils of aimags and the city's districts. The main purposes of the action are to spread and develop sports in rural areas and to propagandize international Olympic ideology among children and youths.

Foremost Olympic council and some heads have been awarded the "Olympic Merit" and "Olympic Star" medals. Contests for painting and essay writing have been concluded as well. These contests were announced among school pupils on occasion of the 16th Asian Games.

Apart of it, the MonNOC has signed a cooperation contract with authorities of local Olympic councils to collaborate in developing free-style wrestling and judo in Uvs and Zavkhan aimags. In addition to this, facilities for judo and free-style wrestling have been granted to these aimags.

Other 17 aimags and the city's districts have received basketball and boxing clothes.
