Civil movements held meeting

Representatives from civil movements held a meeting to exchange views on the pressing issues in mining sector. They resolved to work towards establishing tripartite agreement on responsible mining with the Government and representatives of mining operators. Activists from various civil movements have selected their representatives to negotiate the agreement. The next step towards establishment of agreement is to launch negotiations with mining operators to have mining activities conducted in a responsible, fair and transparent manner. Finally, they will approach the Government to put the tripartite agreement in place.
