The millennium road works continuing

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, /MONTSAME/ The cabinet discussed Wednesday an issue of amendment to parliamentary resolution, made in September of 2001, on approval of directives for running the Millennium Road and Vertical Axis of Infrastructure. This will be submitted to parliament for consideration.

According to the alterations, the west direction route has been changed as Ulaanbaatar--Lun--Dashinchilen--Ugiy nuur--Battsengel--Ikh Tamir--Khanuin guur--Tariat--Tsahir--Tosontsengel--Telmen--Uliastai--Zavkhanmandal--Durgun--Myangad--Ulgii--Tsagaannuur--Ulaan baishint.
Thanks to this, as expected, the AN32 direction of the Asian road network will coincide with a direction of the route of Horizontal axis of Millennium Road which will ease in future drawing up autoroad and construction plans and works.

For the time being, Undurkhaan and Dashinchilen of Bulgan province have been connected by paved road to Ulaanbaatar, a construction is continuing of a 80 km road from Dashinchilen to Orkhon bridge, 165 km road Khanuin bridge--Khalzanburgedei--Solongot, and of 50 km road Undurkhaan--Choibalsan.
