MAYOR MEETS AF'S COUNTRY DIRECTOR
Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, /MONTSAME/ A Mayor of the UB city G.Monkhbayar met Ms. Meloney C.Lindberg, an Asia Foundation Country Representative to Mongolia.
The sides' talk has focused on expanding a cooperation between Asian Development Bank (ADB) and Ulaanbaatar, on determining how to work together. Present at the meeting were also Asha Ghosh and Oliver Phetzold, the staffers of Asia Foundation office in San Francisco of the USA. They are to work in Ulaanbaatar for a week to determine urgent issues the city is facing, run a survey related to local authorities, and to seek ways the coioperation will go on.
Asha Ghosh said that in the collaboration he will try not to have their projects coincidence with other countries' projects.
The Mayor Monkhbayar said that it is necessary to make localities' work open for tax payers, and the tax payers' work--for the public. "We will talk about sectors to cooperate and then will give You our suggestions," he added.
