"Beehive" Program Approved

Tuesday's irregular cabinet meeting approved the "Beehive" program. Its Issues were discussed at a forum themed "Our participation in development of homeland" which ran July 19 under auspices of the Prime Minister with a participation of some 350 Mongolians who live and work outside the country.

The program aims to provide these Mongolians with necessary information about jobs in homeland, to create database about their education, professional experiences and skills, and to inform them about entities and organizations in Mongolia.

The program will set up a system for creating a wholesome legal environment for Mongolia's citizens abroad to work homeland, starting business and developing collaboration between these Mongolians and domestic enterprisers and organizations. It also has purposes to mediate for the Mongolians in employment, starting businesses, cooperating and support them in business.

In accordance with the program, the Mongolians abroad will have financial support in implementing projects and programs in frames of key sectors as economics, industry, sciences, technology and construction, and a slaries system will be created for special job places.

As of today, up to 200 thousand Mongolians are living, working or studying in foreign countries, according to unofficial statistics. This number accounts for 9.3-18.6 per cent in the total size of the working force of Mongolia.

Mongolia intends to create 40 thousand job places within 2015 in conjunction with implementation of the biggest projects and programs in many sectors. It is considered that over 6,000 job places out of these 40 thousand must be created for engineering and techniques. In addition to this, it seems that a need for working force will increase in the sector of high technology industry.

Could you specify the sources of numbers, like the information about the number of Mongolians abroad, and the per cent of the mongolians abroad for the total size of working froce of Mongolia? Wh said 40 thousand job places will be created ? The source of information would be really helpful. Thanks
